The Problem
•2.7 Million patients per year have Midline Catheters inserted prior to being discharged from their hospital bed.
•During the next 3-4 week after discharge, 500,000 of these patients experience complications resulting from midline catheter issues.
Symptoms
Midline Catheter issues post-discharge include:
Catheter Occlusion, or crimping, caused by lack of positive pressure being maintained in the vein.
Resulting in infections, the need for re-insertion of the catheter by a health care professional, and often times re-admission to the hospital.

The Solution
AutoKVO
“KVO” = Keep the Vein Open
“AutoKVO” = Automatically (and continuously) Keep the Vein Open and reduce catheter occlusions
Mission:
Provide an enhancement to Midline, PICC Line and CVC IV Catheters Standard of Care which:
Keeps the Vein Open continuously, with the daily replacement of Saline Cartridge in the spring-loaded “Springfusor” by the patient or caregiver. The “Springfusor” maintains positive flow of saline continuously … keeping positive pressure on the catheter … thus preventing reflux and occlusion.
Benefit:
Greatly reduced Incidence of Occlusion; Lower Level of Care Required
Resulting in:
Greatly reduced Need for Re-Insertions, Infections, Re-admissions; Lower Cost of Care.
